Description

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's FCoE driver allowed an unauthenticated Layer 2 peer on the FCoE control VLAN to cause a denial of service by sending a malformed FIP CVL frame with a zero-length non-critical descriptor. This caused an infinite loop in the descriptor processing code, hanging the controller's receive work and blocking subsequent frames. The issue was fixed by adding a length check to reject descriptors smaller than the minimum descriptor header size.
