This Red Hat security advisory addresses multiple vulnerabilities and bug fixes in the Linux kernel packages for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 and 9. It includes a denial of service vulnerability in the qla2xxx SCSI driver (CVE-2025-68745) and several other security issues affecting Bluetooth, DRM, SCTP, Wi-Fi, and other kernel subsystems. The update is rated as important by Red Hat and requires a system reboot to apply. The advisory also contains non-security bug fixes and enhancements.

A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth ISO subsystem (CVE-2026-63946) has been resolved. The flaw occurs in the iso_recv_frame function where a pointer to a socket structure is used after the associated lock is released, allowing a concurrent operation to free the socket and cause use-after-free on socket state and queue functions. This vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 8.8 and affects multiple Linux kernel versions. A patch is available that replaces the unsafe pointer usage with a reference-counted hold operation to prevent the use-after-free condition.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: ISO: fix UAF in iso_recv_frame iso_recv_frame reads conn->sk under iso_conn_lock but releases the lock before using sk, with no reference held. A concurrent iso_sock_kill() can free sk in that window, causing use-after-free on sk->sk_state and sock_queue_rcv_skb(). Fix by replacing the bare pointer read with iso_sock_hold(conn), which calls sock_hold() while the spinlock is held, atomically elevating the refcount before the lock drops. Add a drop_put label so sock_put() is called on all exit paths where the hold succeeded.
