A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel Bluetooth ISO subsystem (CVE-2026-63946) has been resolved. The flaw occurs in the iso_recv_frame function where a pointer to a socket structure is used after the associated lock is released, allowing a concurrent operation to free the socket and cause use-after-free on socket state and queue functions. This vulnerability has a high severity with a CVSS score of 8.8 and affects multiple Linux kernel versions. A patch is available that replaces the unsafe pointer usage with a reference-counted hold operation to prevent the use-after-free condition.
