CVE-2026-6469: Incorrect Ownership Assignment in PostgreSQLCVE-2026-6469 0 CVE-2026-6469 is a vulnerability in PostgreSQL where the ALTER TABLE ALTER TYPE command incorrectly reassigns ownership of dependent statistics objects to the current user. This allows the table owner to run DROP STATISTICS and ALTER STATISTICS commands improperly, denying these actions to the prior statistics object owner. However, DROP TABLE can still remove statistics objects, limiting the exploit's impact in many cases. Versions before PostgreSQL 18.5, 17.11, 16.15, 15.19, and 14.24 are affected. The vulnerability has a low severity score of 3.8 CVSS and no known exploits in the wild. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/13/2026, 13:00:16 UTC Added: 08/13/2026, 13:26:49 UTC |
