It allows a user with Channel create permissions to modify Secrets across namespaces, leading to unauthorized access or privilege escalation within the cluster. The flaw is a confused deputy authorization bypass that enables cross-namespace Secret mutation and backup-scope expansion. No official fix or patch is currently confirmed. Mitigation involves restricting Channel resource creation to trusted administrators to reduce the attack surface.
