CVE-2026-64954: CWE-862: Missing Authorization in Rapid7 VelociraptorCVE-2026-64954 0 CVE-2026-64954 is a high-severity vulnerability in Rapid7 Velociraptor that allows privilege escalation due to missing authorization enforcement. Specifically, users with the analyst role who can run arbitrary VQL queries can bypass the COLLECT_CLIENT permission requirement to schedule new collections, a capability normally restricted to the investigator role. This occurs because the authorization provider can be reset via VQL queries without proper checks. The vulnerability affects Velociraptor versions prior to 0.77.2.
