0 CVE-2026-65197 is a vulnerability in H3C HDM Family-A G5 firmware verification. The device verifies RSA signatures of firmware images against a public key stored in a mutable file `/conf/public.pem`. This file can be overwritten by an authenticated Redfish client with firmware-update privileges, allowing replacement of the trust anchor. An attacker with such privileges can sign malicious firmware with a substituted key, bypassing signature verification. The affected versions include H3C HDM Family-A G3/G5 builds with the Redfish/DRE update tree up to version 6.14.01. HDM2 devices are not affected. The vulnerability has a low CVSS score of 3.1 and no known exploits in the wild. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/13/2026, 14:17:54 UTC Added: 10/13/2026, 14:34:03 UTC |
