CVE-2026-65904: Improper Check for Unusual or Exceptional Conditions in cure53 DOMPurifyCVE-2026-65904 0 DOMPurify versions prior to 3.3.4 have a vulnerability where DOM elements originating from a different window or realm (such as an iframe's contentDocument) are not properly sanitized when using IN_PLACE mode. This occurs because a cross-realm instanceof check fails, causing the sanitizer to treat the element incorrectly and return it unsanitized, potentially leaving XSS payloads intact. The vendor considers this an edge case outside the intended threat model and has not planned a fix at the time of publication.
