0 Apache bRPC versions before 1.18.0 have a vulnerability where the client TLS peer verification validates the server certificate chain but does not verify that the certificate matches the expected DNS name or IP address. This allows a network attacker with a valid certificate for a different name to impersonate the intended TLS endpoint. The issue is fixed in version 1.18.0 by enabling proper hostname verification during the TLS handshake.
