A heap-based out-of-bounds write vulnerability exists in the decode_lzss() function of the PAA file format plugin in GIMP on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6. This flaw can be triggered by a remote attacker who tricks a user into opening a specially crafted PAA image file, potentially leading to heap metadata corruption and arbitrary code execution.
