In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: free mapping node on duplicate reloc root insert __add_reloc_root()… (CVE-2026-68450)CVE-2026-68450 0 A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's btrfs filesystem code was resolved involving a memory management issue. The function __add_reloc_root() allocates a mapping_node but may fail to free it if a duplicate insert is detected, leading to a potential memory leak. This issue occurs because the error path returns without freeing the newly allocated node when a duplicate entry is found. The vulnerability is a defensive cleanup for an unexpected duplicate insert path, which callers currently assert should not happen.
