CVE-2026-68742: Out-of-bounds Read in Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10CVE-2026-68742 0 CVE-2026-68742 is a medium severity vulnerability in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10's SSSD component. The vulnerability arises from the sss_nss_protocol_parse_addr() function in the NSS responder, which fails to validate the addrlen field against the remaining packet body size. A local attacker can exploit this by sending a crafted GETHOSTBYADDR request to the NSS responder socket, causing an out-of-bounds read that leads to a process crash and denial of service.
