CVE-2026-68907 is a high-severity out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the mz-automation libiec61850 library prior to version 1.6.2. The flaw occurs in the checkDataSetAccess function, which incorrectly reverses source and destination arguments, causing strlen to read beyond a stack buffer. This can lead to denial of service by crashing servers that have dynamic dataset service enabled and a dataset access handler installed. The issue is fixed in version 1.6.2.
