CVE-2026-71846: Execution with Unnecessary Privileges in Red Hat Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2CVE-2026-71846 0 CVE-2026-71846 is a moderate severity vulnerability in Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2's insights-client component. The ServiceAccount used by insights-client is granted cluster-wide permissions to get, list, and watch all Secrets, although it only requires access to a single specific Secret. This excessive privilege could allow an attacker who compromises the insights-client pod or its ServiceAccount token to read all Secrets across the hub cluster, including sensitive credentials such as managed-cluster kubeconfigs. The vulnerability arises from an over-broad ClusterRole binding that violates the principle of least privilege.
