CVE-2026-72508: Execution with Unnecessary Privileges in Red Hat Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2CVE-2026-72508 0 A critical vulnerability (CVE-2026-72508) exists in the multicloud-operators-subscription component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management for Kubernetes 2. It allows a namespace-admin tenant to perform a confused-deputy attack by creating Subscription Custom Resources that leverage a highly privileged ServiceAccount. This enables deployment of arbitrary cluster-scoped resources, leading to privilege escalation and potential arbitrary code execution across the cluster. The vulnerability arises because the application-manager addon's ServiceAccount has broad wildcard permissions by default, increasing the blast radius beyond typical namespace boundaries. Red Hat recommends configuring the application-manager addon to use a least-privilege RBAC variant to mitigate this issue.
