CVE-2026-72742: External Control of File Name or Path in Stanford NLP DSPyCVE-2026-72742 0 DSPy 3.3.0b1 from Stanford NLP contains a critical file exfiltration vulnerability. Attackers who can influence language model outputs can inject filesystem paths into Image or Audio output fields, causing the software to read and base64-encode arbitrary local files. This data is then embedded into outgoing prompt messages sent to an attacker-controlled endpoint. The vulnerability arises from untrusted language model completions being parsed and validated, triggering file reads via os.path.isfile checks in image.py and audio.py.
