CVE-2026-72847: Improper Neutralization of Escape, Meta, or Control Sequences in Canop brootCVE-2026-72847 0 broot, a file and directory tree viewer, improperly handles control characters in file names by rendering them directly to the terminal without filtering. This allows local users who can create files to inject terminal escape sequences into file names, which are then executed on the terminal of anyone browsing the directory. The impact depends on the terminal emulator's handling of such sequences. This vulnerability affects broot versions up to and including 1.58.0 and has a low CVSS score of 2.4.
