CVE-2026-72906 is a missing authorization vulnerability in ERPNext affecting versions prior to 15.111.0 and 16.22.0. The flaw exists in the send_auto_email function of the process_statement_of_accounts module, which does not properly check permissions. This allows an authenticated low-privilege user to trigger automated emails beyond their authorized roles. The issue has been fixed in versions 15.111.0 and 16.22.0. The vulnerability has a medium severity rating with a CVSS score of 4.3.
