CVE-2026-73974: CWE-22: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') in Linuxfabrik monitoring-pluginsCVE-2026-73974 0 CVE-2026-73974 is a path traversal vulnerability in Linuxfabrik monitoring-plugins and linuxfabrik-lib prior to versions 7.0.0 and 6.1.0 respectively. The vulnerability arises from the lib.lftest.test() function treating certain CSV arguments as filesystem paths without proper confinement, allowing unauthorized file reading. This flaw affects multiple plugins that run with sudo authorization, enabling an attacker with control over the nagios or icinga account to read root-readable files. The issue is fixed by confining file reads to the plugin's unit-test directory and routing bypasses through the helper function.
