CVE-2026-74038: Improper Limitation of a Pathname to a Restricted Directory ('Path Traversal') in Wazuh wazuh-managerCVE-2026-74038 0 Wazuh wazuh-manager versions 4.0.0 up to but not including 4.14.6 contain a path traversal vulnerability. This flaw allows unauthenticated remote attackers to cause a denial of service by enrolling an agent with a specially crafted name containing dot-sequences such as "..". The vulnerability arises from insufficient validation of agent names and unsafe path concatenation, which leads to deletion of critical directories and stops Wazuh services, requiring manual recovery.
