CVE-2026-74243: Missing Authentication for Critical Function in Red Hat Red Hat OpenShift Update ServiceCVE-2026-74243 0 CVE-2026-74243 is a vulnerability in Red Hat Quay where the security scanner notification endpoint lacks authentication if the SECURITY_SCANNER_V4_PSK pre-shared key is not configured. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to flood the notification queue and inject path traversal characters into Clair API URL paths, potentially causing worker resource exhaustion and denial of service. The risk mainly affects standalone Quay installations without the pre-shared key set, as operator-managed deployments generate this key automatically.
