The issue involved insufficient locking scope, allowing a concurrent thread to release and free a session between lookup and mutex lock acquisition. This could lead to use-after-free conditions or other concurrency issues. The vulnerability has been resolved by extending the scope of the read lock to cover the mutex acquisition, preventing the race condition.
