The issue involved an unnecessary check for fs-verity being enabled in the setattr_prepare() function. This check incorrectly assumed that filesystems could not have fs-verity files without fs-verity being enabled, which is not the case. The fix removes this check to allow truncate operations on fs-verity files to succeed properly. Join the discussion | GCVE Database | 08/22/2026, 18:30:25 UTC Added: 08/22/2026, 22:51:31 UTC |
