CVE-2026-75589: CWE-208 Observable Timing DiscrepancyCVE-2026-75589
0

Net::OAuth versions before 0.33 for Perl contain a timing discrepancy vulnerability in signature verification. The library uses non-constant-time string comparisons for HMAC-SHA1, HMAC-SHA256, and PLAINTEXT signatures, allowing an attacker who can measure response times to recover valid signatures byte-by-byte. RSA-SHA1 signatures are not affected. This flaw could expose sensitive secrets such as consumer_secret and token_secret under PLAINTEXT. No official patch or remediation guidance is currently available.
