CVE-2026-75883 is a heap-based buffer overflow vulnerability in the PPP Project's pppd component. The flaw occurs in the peap_response() function, which copies a TLS record of up to 16384 bytes into a fixed-size global buffer without verifying available space or implementing fragmentation. This can lead to corruption of adjacent global static data, potentially causing incorrect behavior or process crashes during PEAP authentication.
