CVE-2026-76277 is a vulnerability in Splunk Enterprise versions prior to 10.4.3, 10.2.7, 10.0.10, and 9.4.15 where usernames ending with a period are improperly validated. This allows users with the edit_user capability to create native Splunk usernames that share per-user configuration data, potentially causing user-management operations to affect incorrect accounts or fail.
