CVE-2026-76341: The software performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check. This allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions. in Splunk Splunk EnterpriseCVE-2026-76341
0

CVE-2026-76341 is a medium severity vulnerability in Splunk Enterprise that affects versions 9.4, 10.0, 10.2, and 10.4 prior to their respective patch versions. It allows a user with the "power" role to store attacker-controlled SPL in a Table Editor dataset and share it. When an "admin" user opens this dataset, the SPL executes with the admin's permissions, potentially exposing and modifying data. Exploitation requires phishing the admin user to trigger the malicious SPL. The vulnerability arises because the Table Editor does not apply SPL safeguards for risky commands when preparing initial dataset data.
