CVE-2026-76342: The software performs an authorization check when an actor attempts to access a resource or perform an action, but it does not correctly perform the check. This allows attackers to bypass intended access restrictions. in Splunk Splunk EnterpriseCVE-2026-76342 0 CVE-2026-76342 is a medium severity vulnerability in Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.9, and 9.4.14. It allows a user with the "power" role to store risky SPL commands in a Table Editor dataset and share it. When an admin user opens this dataset, the commands execute with the admin's permissions, potentially exposing data and modifying lookup files. The vulnerability arises because the Table Editor does not apply SPL safeguards to the field-summary search during the Initial Data step. Exploitation requires phishing the admin user to trigger the commands in their browser. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 08/19/2026, 21:34:40 UTC Added: 08/19/2026, 21:38:31 UTC |
