CVE-2026-76357: The software uses external input to construct a pathname that is intended to identify a file or directory that is located underneath a restricted parent directory, but the software does not properly neutralize special elements within the pathname that can cause the pathname to resolve to a location that is outside of the restricted directory. in Splunk Splunk SOARCVE-2026-76357

CVE-2026-76357 is a high-severity vulnerability in Splunk SOAR versions below 8.6.0. It allows an authenticated user without an assigned role to submit a crafted file path via the REST API, leading to arbitrary code execution. This occurs because the REST API does not enforce role requirements or properly restrict user-supplied file paths to the intended temporary directory.
