Lychee versions prior to 7.7.0 contain a vulnerability where an authenticated user can upload a crafted PDF with an oversized MediaBox, causing excessive CPU consumption during image processing. This uncontrolled resource consumption occurs in the ImagickHandler::loadPdf() function when ImageMagick PDF support with Ghostscript is enabled. The issue can lead to web worker occupation or clogging of the image-processing queue, impacting service availability. The vulnerability is fixed in version 7.7.0.
