0 CVE-2026-78117 is a medium-severity race condition vulnerability in the Infineon PSOC 6 BLESS HCI driver within the Zephyr project. The driver uses a shared file-scope variable to store outgoing HCI packet descriptors without adequate synchronization, leading to potential data leakage and packet duplication or loss. This flaw affects Zephyr versions from 3.4.0 through 4.4.2. The issue arises when concurrent Bluetooth transmissions interleave, causing the controller to transmit data from mismatched or recycled buffers. The vulnerability does not result in memory corruption or attacker-controlled data disclosure. The fix involves making the packet descriptor a local variable to eliminate shared state risks.
