DJI drones have an unauthenticated Bluetooth interface that allows attackers within range to modify critical Wi-Fi settings, including SSID, PSK, MAC address, regulatory country code, and wireless channel. This vulnerability enables attackers to overwrite the Wi-Fi PSK with a known value, potentially gaining access to the drone's internal Wi-Fi network and flight control interface. Attackers can also disrupt wireless connectivity by disabling or restarting Wi-Fi and Bluetooth interfaces or resetting wireless configurations, causing denial-of-service conditions during flight. Multiple DJI drone models are affected up to specific firmware versions. Remediation requires a firmware update from DJI.
