CVE-2026-7840: Out-of-bounds Write in uvnc UltraVNCCVE-2026-7840 0 UltraVNC repeater versions through 1.8.2.2 contain a critical global buffer overflow vulnerability in the embedded HTTP administration server. The vulnerability arises from unchecked sprintf calls that write a caller-supplied HTTP request URI into a fixed 1000-byte buffer, which can be overflowed by a specially crafted HTTP request URI of 1500 bytes or longer. This overflow occurs before any authentication checks, allowing unauthenticated remote attackers to corrupt memory and potentially execute arbitrary code on the host running the repeater.
