CVE-2026-7867: Incorrect Authorization in Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10CVE-2026-7867
0

CVE-2026-7867 is a local privilege escalation vulnerability in udisks2 on Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10. It arises from insufficient authorization checks on the 'as-user' option in the org.freedesktop.UDisks2.Filesystem.Mount() D-Bus method. An attacker with an active console session can spoof this parameter to mount filesystems as arbitrary users, including privileged accounts, potentially manipulating mount namespaces and injecting mount points. This flaw can lead to unauthorized privilege escalation on affected systems.
