Lantronix SLC8000 and related device firmware versions contain an authentication bypass vulnerability in their web management portals. The flaw arises from session tokens generated deterministically using device model and time at one-second resolution, making tokens enumerable. Attackers can exploit this to derive valid session tokens and bypass source IP and User-Agent validation. By crafting specific URIs that exploit file extension handling in the web server routing, attackers can bypass per-session source-address validation and gain elevated privileges on the device, potentially affecting connected serial-attached devices.
