Apache bRPC versions prior to 1.18.0, when built with WITH_THRIFT enabled, contain a vulnerability where a malformed T_EXCEPTION reply from a server peer causes the client to throw uncaught exceptions. This leads to the termination of the entire client process, affecting all ongoing RPC calls. The issue arises because the client does not catch exceptions such as TProtocolException, TTransportException, or std::length_error thrown during decoding. The vulnerability is fixed in version 1.18.0. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 10/21/2026, 12:04:19 UTC Added: 10/21/2026, 12:34:24 UTC |
