It allows writing files outside the intended worktree on Windows systems due to improper handling of symbolic links during incremental checkouts when core.symlinks is enabled. Specifically, a symlink pointing outside the worktree can be followed during a subsequent checkout, leading to overwriting files outside the worktree.
