CVE-2026-82247 is a high-severity vulnerability in GitoxideLabs gitoxide affecting the gix-url and gix-transport crates. The vulnerability arises from improper handling of '?' and '#' characters in the URL parser of gix-url (versions up to 0.32.0) and incorrect host comparison in the HTTP redirect identity guard of gix-transport (versions up to 0.49.0). This flaw allows an attacker who controls an HTTP redirect response to craft a malicious Location header that causes gitoxide to send HTTP Basic Authorization credentials to an unintended host. 0 A path traversal vulnerability exists in gitoxide before version 0.52.1 due to improper validation of submodule names in the .gitmodules configuration. This flaw allows attackers to craft malicious submodule names containing traversal segments, which can redirect certain file operations to repositories outside the intended directory. This may cause repository confusion and enable inspection of attacker-controlled repositories. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 09/02/2026, 01:05:29 UTC Added: 08/28/2026, 11:22:59 UTC |
