0 Apache Storm DRPC versions 3.0.0 up to but not including 3.1.0 have a resource allocation vulnerability where the DRPC server retains a map entry for each unique function name received from clients without ever removing it. Since function names are client-controlled and unrestricted, an attacker can cause the server to exhaust its heap memory by sending many distinct function names. By default, no authorization is required to access the DRPC endpoint, increasing exposure. This issue is fixed in version 3.1.0, which removes function queues when they are empty.
