It arises from insufficient input sanitization and missing output escaping in specific plugin functions related to REST API request logging. When certain features are enabled, an unauthenticated attacker can inject malicious scripts into the debug log via crafted REST request paths. These scripts execute in the administrator's browser when viewing the debug log page, potentially leading to theft of security tokens and unauthorized privileged actions.
