0 zerox version 1.1.20 and earlier contains a critical OS command injection vulnerability in its file download mechanism. The vulnerability arises because the temporary file extension, derived from document URLs, is unsanitized and directly interpolated into shell commands executed by poppler utilities. This allows attackers to craft malicious document URLs with file extensions containing command substitution syntax, leading to arbitrary OS command execution before document processing.
