CVE-2026-86081: CWE-1333: Inefficient Regular Expression Complexity in n8n-io n8nCVE-2026-86081 0 CVE-2026-86081 is a high-severity vulnerability in the n8n workflow automation platform. It involves inefficient regular expression complexity in the Git node clone operation, where an attacker-controlled destination path is matched against a vulnerable regex pattern. This pattern allows catastrophic backtracking, causing the main n8n process to freeze during synchronous execution. The issue affects versions prior to 1.123.76, 2.37.7, and 2.38.2 and requires authenticated workflow editor access to exploit. Fixed versions have been released to address this flaw.
