CVE-2026-86734: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption in grokability snipe-itCVE-2026-86734
0

CVE-2026-86734 is a high-severity vulnerability in grokability's Snipe-IT software versions prior to 8.7.1. The flaw exists because the application does not validate the length of the note field in the POST /account/accept/{acceptance} endpoint. Authenticated users can submit excessively large note inputs that trigger synchronous CommonMark rendering, leading to excessive CPU consumption and potential denial of service due to resource exhaustion in the markdown parsing process.
