CVE-2026-86745: Improper Neutralization of Formula Elements in a CSV File in grokability snipe-itCVE-2026-86745 0 CVE-2026-86745 is a medium severity vulnerability in the Snipe-IT IT asset management application affecting master-branch builds after 8.6.3 but before 8.7.0. The vulnerability arises because the location-scoping mismatch report CSV export does not properly neutralize spreadsheet formula elements, allowing an authenticated user with create/edit rights to inject malicious formulas into free-text fields. When a superuser downloads and opens this CSV report in spreadsheet software with formula evaluation enabled, the formulas can execute, potentially leading to data exfiltration or command execution on Windows Excel. This issue is fixed in version 8.7.0. Join the discussion | CVE Database V5 | 09/09/2026, 13:32:09 UTC Added: 09/09/2026, 13:52:53 UTC |
