CVE-2026-8718: bounds in zephyrproject zephyrCVE-2026-8718 0 CVE-2026-8718 is a high-severity vulnerability in Zephyr project versions 3.5.0 through before 4.4.1. It involves a kernel-heap buffer overflow triggered by improper bounds checking in the DTLS Connection ID retrieval via getsockopt. The flaw occurs when a caller supplies a buffer smaller than the expected size, causing an overflow of up to 31 bytes with data from the remote peer's Connection ID. This requires specific configuration options and an established DTLS session with a negotiated peer CID.
