0 CVE-2026-8719 is a high-severity privilege escalation vulnerability in version 3.4.9 of the AI Engine – The Chatbot, AI Framework & MCP for WordPress plugin. The issue arises from missing capability enforcement in the MCP OAuth bearer-token authorization path, allowing any valid OAuth token to grant MCP access without verifying administrator privileges. As a result, authenticated users with Subscriber or higher roles can escalate their privileges to Administrator by invoking admin-level MCP tools.
