CVE-2026-87853: Partial String Comparison in Red Hat Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10CVE-2026-87853 0 A vulnerability in the SSSD IdP authentication provider in Red Hat Enterprise Linux 10.2 allows an attacker to authenticate as another user if their IdP identifier is a strict prefix of the target user's identifier. This occurs due to a partial string comparison flaw in the eval_access_token_buf() function, which uses strncmp() incorrectly for OIDC subject identifiers. The issue affects configurations using Keycloak with LDAP User Federation in non-default "Import Users = false" mode. Mitigations include enabling Keycloak's Import Users mode, restricting PAM login to specific users, and disabling Keycloak self-registration.
