CVE-2026-88770 is a vulnerability in the Device Authorization Grant flow of Red Hat Build of Keycloak. The flaw allows an attacker with an active session on a locked user account to bypass brute-force protection and obtain new security tokens. This means the attacker can maintain access to an account even when it should be temporarily disabled due to brute-force lockout policies. The vulnerability has a CVSS score of 6.5 and is rated medium severity by Red Hat. No official patch or mitigation currently meets Red Hat's criteria for deployment.
