CVE-2026-9125: CWE-79 Improper Neutralization of Input During Web Page Generation ('Cross-site Scripting') in 2winfactor Presto PlayerCVE-2026-9125
0

Presto Player plugin for WordPress versions up to and including 4.2.0 is vulnerable to stored cross-site scripting (XSS) via the 'link_url' parameter in the [presto_player_overlay] shortcode. This occurs because the plugin does not properly sanitize or escape input, allowing javascript: URIs to be injected and rendered as clickable links. Authenticated users with contributor-level access or higher can exploit this to inject arbitrary scripts that execute when other users view the affected pages.
