A high-severity algorithmic complexity vulnerability exists in the python-pillow library versions 11.0.0 through 12.x.x. The Exif.load() function repeatedly slices EXIF data containing multiple repeated headers, causing quadratic CPU usage. This can be triggered via common image processing workflows such as Image.getexif() and ImageOps.exif_transpose(). The issue is resolved in version 13.0.0.
